What is Natural Resource? And its Types

What Is Natural Resource? And Its Types is a very simple term because it is those things which we use or see in our daily life like air, water, land, petroleum, coal etc. These all are natural resources and there are two types of Natural Resource like Renewable Resources and Non Renewable Resources. Today we are going discuss what is Natural Resource? And its Types.

What Is Natural Resource? And Its Types

Ever since the earth was inhabited, humans and other life forms have depended on things that exist freely in nature to survive. These things include water (seas and fresh water), land, soils, rocks, forests (vegetation), animals (including fish), fossil fuels and minerals.

Natural Resource: Meaning and Defination

Natural Resource are those resources which we get from nature and it is the gift of the god because the air we breathe, the water we drink, the land in which we are living and grow our food for life all are the natural resources.

Natural resources are resources that exist without actions of humankind. This includes all valued characteristics such as magnetic, gravitational, electrical properties and forces etc. On earth it includes: sunlight, atmosphere, warer, land (includes all minerals) along with all vegetation, crop and animal life that naturally subsists upon or within the identified characteristics and substances.

Types of Natural Resource

There are mainly two types of natural resources are as fallow;

1. Renewable Resources

2. Non Renewable Resources

What Is Natural Resource? And Its Types

1. Renewable Resources

Renewable resources can be replenished naturally. Some of these resources, like sunlight, air, wind, water, etc., are continuously available and their quantity is not noticeably affected by human consumption. Though many renewable resources do not have such a rapid recovery rate, these resources are susceptible to depletion by over-use.

2. Non Renewable Resources

Non renewable resources are those resources which either form slowly or it does not form naturally. Minerals are the most common resource included in this category. By the human perspective, resources are non-renewable when their rate of consumption exceeds the rate of replenishment/recovery; a good example of this are fossil fuels, which are in this category because their rate of formation is extremely slow (potentially millions of years), meaning they are considered non-renewable.
